Top Honour for Field Construction Group at Master Builders Awards
23 June 2025: Lennox Head based Field Construction Group has been named 2025 Residential Builder of the Year at the NSW Master Builders Northern Regions Excellence in Building Awards, held on 31 May at the Ballina RSL Club.
The awards celebrate achievements in construction across the North Coast, Mid North Coast and New England regions of NSW. Field Construction Group also received top accolades in the ‘Contract Homes’ and ‘Medium Density – Dual Occupancy’ categories, highlighting their expertise across diverse residential builds.
“This was a hugely gratifying win for us. We love what we do and are pleased that our ability to take on complex bespoke builds and deliver consistently exceptional results across Northern NSW and the Gold Coast is being recognised,” said Glenn Field, Director of Field Construction Group.
Field Construction Group specialise in customised residential building projects valued from $2M up to $16M. They are focussed on partnering with designers and clients who share a similar commitment to industry best practice and who value precision and a streamlined build process.
“We are known for our proactive approach to project management which is characterised by forward planning, early procurement and prompt detail resolution. The end result is a smoother experience for the project team along with a superior finished product,” he said.
“Of course, this win is also a testament to the great work undertaken by our team. We have assembled an A-team of skilled carpenters and trades whose collaboration and communication skills are an integral part of our success.”
Graham Shaw has nothing but praise for Field Construction Group, who took on his award-winning beachside home amidst challenging law changes around Class 2 build projects. “This change in legislation presented major obstacles, and Field were the only builder both willing and sufficiently qualified to take it on. Their practical, pragmatic and organised approach means we now have a home of superb quality with outstanding finishes and high-quality inclusions. It’s rare you can say the end result exceeds expectations, but it’s true in this case,” Graham said.
Each of the winning homes was personally toured by the judging panel, who were won over by the elevated level of finish and attention to detail.
Dress Circle Drive, Lennox Head: a striking three-storey, four-bed residence which epitomises high end luxury. Features include precise curves, clean lines, suspended concrete slabs, latte travertine, polished concrete, Abodo new growth timbers, American Oak and a dumbwaiter connecting the garage to the third floor.
Allens Parade, Lennox Head: a six-bedroom, two-storey beachfront residence, defined by its weatherboard cladding, blackbutt flooring, VJ panelling, blackbutt and painted 2-pac cabinetry, high ceilings, an internal lift and complex Class 2 build.
Judging special mentions:
- Textured venetian plaster finish to curved stairwells
- Use of set reveals and aluminium shadow line skirtings in place of traditional architraves
- Complexity of achieving Class 2 certification under stringent legislation
- Challenges associated with achieving expanded fire rating requirements
